Catherine is the Founder and Director of Parent Teacher Learning Centre (PTLC), a Singapore-based professional learning and educational consultancy dedicated to strengthening the partnership between home and school through teacher education, parenting support, leadership development, and child-centred learning.

An internationally respected Montessori educator, trainer, speaker, and educational consultant, Catherine serves as the Asia Representative and Early Childhood Level Director for Asia with the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS), USA. She also serves as an Instructional Guide, Practicum Advisor, and Field Consultant, mentoring adult learners and supporting the implementation of authentic Montessori practices in diverse educational settings. In addition, Catherine is an active Site Verifier with the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), contributing to the quality assurance of Montessori teacher education programmes, and serves as the Regional Ambassador for the International Montessori Council (IMC), promoting professional collaboration, ethical practice, and lifelong learning within the global Montessori community.

With almost three decades of experience in education, Catherine has worked with educators, school leaders, parents, educational organisations, and conference organisers throughout Asia. In 2003, she founded a Montessori preschool in Changsha, China, laying the foundation for her lifelong commitment to authentic Montessori education and high-quality professional learning. Today, she partners with schools and organisations to deliver teacher certification programmes, professional development workshops, leadership training, curriculum design, educational consultancy, and parenting education.

A passionate advocate for understanding both the child and the adults who guide them, Catherine's work extends beyond Montessori education to include child development, positive behaviour guidance, family-school partnerships, educator wellbeing, and leadership development. As a Certified Reiss Motivation Profile® Master, she also helps educators, leaders, and working professionals better understand individual motivations, strengthen relationships, develop effective teams, and make informed personal and career decisions.

In recognition of her expertise, Catherine has been invited to speak at educational conferences and professional learning events across Asia. In 2019, she presented on the Singapore education system at a major education forum in Changsha, China, attended by more than 300 educators, with the event reaching over 280,000 online viewers nationwide.

Catherine is also the author of Stop Bullying! You Can Do It! and has served as a parenting advisor for a children's book series focusing on emotional security and child development. She received specialised training in parenting coaching and positive discipline under Kathryn Kvols, founder of the International Network for Children and Families (INCAF), further strengthening her work in supporting parents, educators, and families.
